RICH Corner registered an outstanding 12-dart York Phoenix Open League game for Bay Horse 'A' against Phoenix.
He scored 140, 140, 120 and 121 finish and was well supported by Allan Galley's 20 darts. The highlight for Phoenix in a 6-3 defeat saw Wendy Smith take the scalp of Paul Cooper.
Division one leaders Volunteer's 6-3 win over Bishopthorpe contained five singles, Tony Raymond's brilliant 14-dart reply being Bishopthorpe's only reply.
Slipper had only Rob Platt to count in the singles against Cygnet who were well served by Steve Lane and Bob Greenwood, while a splendid 112 finish for 18 darts by Dave Tatterton was one of two wins recorded by Howden Arms at Pack.
Mark Thornton showed good form as Mount 'A' overwhelmed Clifton, whose point was taken by Bob Hayes-Jo Hodges.
Leeman lead division two but lost 6-3 to Huntington 'B', whose John Hair and Keith Elliott were to the fore. However, good scoring from Roger Pirrie and Derek Smallwood snatched the aggregate.
Dave Welsh shot out on bullseye in Huntington 'A' team's 7-2 win at Yearsley and Ebor's Dean Platt-Mick Holdsworth hampered Hospital Social Club's progress with a 5-4 victory.
Dave Cormack-Moira Atkinson gave Woolpack a 5-4 win against Crescent, who saved the aggregate mainly due to Steve Richardson's efforts.
Falcon lost 6-3 against Mount 'B' but had a fine 20-darter from Chris Wilson. Match winners for Mount 'B' were Danny Paxton-Mal Thornley. Paul Tallon was Burton's man- of-the-match in a whitewash of Bishopthorpe 'B'.
