CONGRATULATIONS to the Evening Press for the coverage it gives week after week to those active members of our community who play sport to help others.
Your coverage of The Race For Life and St Peter's fund-raising efforts at the 10km run has meant a great deal to the participants. So active are the citizens of York becoming that the Ings are beginning to remind me of Central Park, New York at the height of the jogging boom.
This wonderful recreational space is now full of people running, walking, cycling and skating their way to health.
Finally, Gaswise Limited deserve praise for buying young Jason Watson a new bike after his was stolen thereby allowing him to know the joys of using the many miles of cycle paths in and around the city. York is the best city in the world in which to live and work.
