Nestl Rowntree Athletic Club athletes recorded some excellent performances in the Yorkshire County Championships at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield.
Crowned county champions and gold medallists were: Richard Buck Under-17 men's 400metres, Will Steel U17 men's hammer, Alistair Smith U15 boys 400m, Nicola Lampard U17 women's 1500m, Emma Macalister-Hall U15 girls 800m, junior women's 4x100 relay team (Lampard/Howard/Bean/Taylor).
Silver medallists were: Alistair Smith U15 boys 800m, Daniel Lee U13 boys shot, Katie Caffrey U17 women's 100m, Katie Caffrey U17 women's 300m, Rachel Caffrey U15 girls 200m.
Bronze medals: James Palmer U15 boys high jump, Nina Griffith junior women's 1500m, Jessica Taylor U17 women's 200m, Jessica Taylor U17 women's long jump.
Other Nestl finalists were: Sandy Cowan senior men's 1500m, Will Steel U17 men's 200m, Tom Lightwing U15 boys 100m, James Palmer U15 boys long jump, Tom Lightwing U15 boys long jump, Erica Smith senior women's 400m, Jessica Taylor U17 women's 100m, Heather Howard U17 women's 100m and U17 women's 200m, Alice Bean U17 women's 300m, Nicola Lampard U17 women's 800m, Jessica Taylor U17 women's 80m hurdles, Alice Bean U17 women's triple jump, Charlotte Maxted U15 girls 1500m, Alice McCabe U15 girls 75m hurdles, Nina Batt U15 girls 75m hurdles, Nichola Bell U13 girls 80m.
The next major challenge will be the North of England championships in Liverpool on May 24-25.
