New Earswick gained their first division five victory of the season when they defeated neighbours Rowntrees by six wickets.
Andy Main was the only batsman to show in a poor batting display by the visitors as he made 29, but Earswick's two bowlers, who both had brief spells in the Rowntrees, camp had a field day. Christian Soulsby took 7-19 to become front runner for the monthly bowling award and John Routledge claimed 3-30.
Chris Smith's unbeaten 26 then took Earswick to an eight-wicket win which fully justified their investment in covers and a water-hog.
Malcolm Bowden made 45 and Matthew Hoyle an unbeaten 52 for Selby at Pocklington before the wash-out left Selby on 159-4.
The results of the games at Huntington, Stamford Bridge and Tadcaster were not received.
