THIS York couple celebrated 50 golden years together with a party for friends and family.
Tony and Pam Husband, from Acomb, met in 1949 and were married four years later at St Aelred's Church.
Tony, who worked for the Co-op and Pam, who worked at Rowntree, have two sons, Paul and Andrew, along with two grandsons, James and Ben.
Tony, who has been a York City fan for more than 60 years, said he thought their marriage had been so successful because they never had secrets and had shared interests such as darts.
Pam said: "We have stuck by and worked at it and made it what it is."
The couple marked their wedding anniversary with a party at Crescent Working Men's Club.
