A YORK-based travel agent specialising in African holidays today backed the suspension of flights to Kenya.
John Knighton, sales manager at African Pride, at Clifton Moor, said: "Anything done to enhance security is an absolute must."
Mr Knighton said he believed Kenyan-registered airlines could still used to reach the country.
He added: "As far as I am aware Kenya Airways are running a normal schedule."
No York-based travel agents contacted by the Evening Press said they had clients in Kenya.
They said anyone with a Kenyan booking would be offered a refund or an alternative holiday.
They could also choose to wait and see how long the flight suspension lasted, with a view to travelling at a later date.
