THIS YORK church band is set to march through EuroDisney - only two weeks after cleaning up at the National Band Competition
St Andrew's Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade won six trophies in the contest section of the national competition in Walsall last week. The musicians are now qualified to raise their game in the championship section next year.
Next week they will fly to EuroDisney, near Paris, to take part in a parade, marching in front of Mickey Mouse.
The members of the band will then visit other European cities and play with another band from Chorley.
Band leader Martin Stubbs, said: "I'm very pleased we're doing so much.
"A couple of months ago there were some members who could play instruments, but couldn't march, so we had to put a lot of intensive work into it.
"To do what we did in the competition was brilliant."
