IF YOU like your metal heavy, in 1970s/80s mode rather than nu, then chances are you'll like this.
The style is not surprising considering Zakk has been Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist on and off for 15 years. There are screaming guitars and songs are sung half an octave deeper than sounds natural. The format does change on the title track, which has acoustic guitars to show flexibility and the willingness to do something a little different. Then along comes Dead Mellow to end, opening with a piano and going all Pink Floyd. A complete surprise and a great note to finish on.
