CHILDREN from a York school were today enjoying Christmas fun at their school fair.
The Advent Christmas Fair last year raised £6,000 for the York Steiner School at Danesmead.
There were stalls full of crafts, some of which were made by the children and parents, plus puppet shows. Food and drink was on offer at the caf.
The school administrator, Mary Burgess, said the annual fair was very popular.
She said: "It is a very big event and attracts a lot of people and is always very busy.
"Children can come to the fair and take part in different crafts and that keeps them entertained which is quite a big attraction. It is a big fundraising event and a lot of work is put into it."
The fair was taking place at the school from 10am to 4pm. Entry is 50p for adults and 20p for children.
