Kevin Darley, seen to such excellent effect aboard Magistretti in yesterday's Tote Dante Stakes at York, can continue his winning ways at Newbury tomorrow.

The Sheriff Hutton jockey has several fancied mounts at the Berkshire track, starting with Ego in the Cantor Sport Carnarvon Stakes over six furlongs.

A classy juvenile last season, Geoff Wragg's filly was tried over seven furlongs in the Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket on his comeback outing in April, but appeared not to stay that distance, which ruled out the possibility of pursuing a route to the 1,000 Guineas.

Ego returns to sprinting over six furlongs tomorrow and, with Darley in the saddle, is expected to make a big impression in this Listed event.

Yorkshire raider Polish Corridor can be another winner for Darley in the RCI Handicap over ten furlongs.

Trained near Darlington by Michael Dods, the four-year-old is primed to strike a victory note after a narrow defeat at Redcar last time, in a slowly-run race which counted against him, and a creditable display to finish third at Pontefract.

An able performer in this grade, Polish Corridor can make his long journey south pay dividends.

Darley also has good prospects aboard Ocean Silk in the Swettenham Stud Fillies' Trial, but the John Gosden-trained three-year-old may have to play second-fiddle to Miss Ivanhoe, the mount of Darryll Holland.

An impressive five lengths winner of a Nottingham maiden at the end of last month, Miss Ivanhoe, a daughter of Selkirk, has been pencilled-in as a likely contender for the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. On that basis, she deserves huge respect here.

Arzoo could be a winner for Luca Cumani and Frankie Dettori in the Scottish Equitable/Jockeys Association Handicap over six furlongs.

A good fourth to Tarjman in a similar event at Newmarket last month, Arzoo looks the type to develop into a decent sprint handicapper and this race could well be within his compass.

At Nottingham, Marshallspark is napped to win the Woolton Classified Stakes under Paul Hanagan, who ended a losing spell, which had stretched to 108 rides, at Newcastle last night.

Trained by Richard Fahey, Marshallspark just missed out on a win at Carlisle last week when failing by inches to overcome a poor draw.

Mark Wallace has made an excellent start to his training career, and Clifden could be another winner for this rising star in the European Breeders' Fund Novice Stakes.

A good winner first time out, Clifden has the make and shape of a juvenile who could well be going places this season. Tomorrow should tell us more about his potential.

Leave To Appeal, with one-run-one-win under his belt, will be a tough nut to crack in the C.E.S. Classified Stakes, while the in-form Market Avenue should go well in the 'We Are Racing Tomorrow' Handicap.
