Neil Strange of Knavesmire Harriers easily won the Yorkshire Veterans run based at Heslington.
He clocked 32 minutes 52 seconds for the course, which was a little short of ten kilometres in distance, to come in ahead of Paul Stevenson (Pudsey and Bramley).
Jean Snelling was another winner from Knavesmire in the Over-65 womens' category, while Barry Atkinson also ran well in fifth place overall.
There was success too for co-organisers York Acorn with Jim Shemilt winning the Over-55 age group, while Mike Hetherton was second in the same category and Martin Nice was second in the Over-45s.
The trio were backed up by John McDonough and Steve Mummery who completed Acorn the top men's team.
