ENERGETIC fundraisers collected an impressive £970 for the Scarborough and District Search and Rescue Team on a gruelling walk.
Walkers and runners from across the north of England took part in the Falcon Flyer Challenge Walk, trekking across Billerhowe Dale, Hawsker Cliffs and Robin Hood's Bay.
Neil Ridsdale, of Driffield, was the first to complete the 26-mile course in only three hours 46mins - Lincoln runner Joanne Diffey was the fastest woman round in four hours 57 mins.
Pete Thompson, from the group, said: "The rescue team would like to thank everyone who took part in the event and all those who gave up their time to man checkpoints and provide refreshments, as well as the landowners around the route without whose permission the walk would not have been possible.
"The atmosphere on the day was fantastic and everyone enjoyed themselves, which makes all the planning that goes into an event like this worthwhile.
"People have already vowed to return to join us for the Saltersgate Circuit Walk in October."
