THE line-up is complete for Round Two of the Fibbers/Evening Press Battle of the Bands 2003, after Dustbowl Central won Heat 12 of Round One on Wednesday in York.
Second place went to 23 Beasts, and Little Big Men and Flint participated too.
Round Two starts next Wednesday when Duck Sick, finalists last year and favourites in the unofficial betting this year, compete against Meyssan and Solstice.
Further heats feature Soberskin, I Am Jack and The Hair on May 14; 5 Finger Discount, The Asylum Seekers and Vetro Baby, May 21; Fado Rock, Ask My Cat and Ryan Shirlow & The Bloody Marys, May 28; The Xenith Sound, Losing Sunday Drive and Catylyst, June 4; and High Sound, Hardwired and Dust Bowl Central, who have been drawn to appear in the last heat again, on June 11. In the latest unofficial odds from Fibbers boss Tim Hornsby, Duck Sick are 2/1 favourites. Then come 3/1, Catalyst; 4/1 Vetro Baby; 6/1, Dust Bowl Central, High Sound; 8/1, Fado Rock, The Xenith Sound, 5 Finger Discount; 10/1, Ryan Shirlow & The Bloody Marys; 12/1, The Asylum Seekers, I Am Jack, Hardwired, Soberskin; 14/1, Ask My Cat; 16/1, The Hair; 20/1, Losing Sunday Drive, Solstice; 25/1, Meyssan.
From next Wednesday's heat to the Grand Final on July 9, the Evening Press will cover all the action from the battlefront, with a report and band pictures each Thursday.
The starting time next Wednesday is 8pm, and admission is £3.
