YORK schoolgirls and Malton accountants will join more than 3,000 others in the Race For Life next weekend.
More than 20 girls from The Mount School will take part in the event alongside workers from Hardcastle France Chartered Accountants.
The school girls, who are all part of The Mount's hockey and netball squads, are taking part in the run to prepare for a tour to Barbados in July.
Jenny Lyall, the head of physical education at the school, said the event was an excellent way to raise funds for breast cancer research and improve fitness for this summer's tour at the same time.
Hannah Pearson, from Hardcastle France, said the group had decided to take part in the run as they thought it was a worthwhile cause and they had all known someone with cancer.
