THE Damned play York Barbican Centre, Toyah Willcox is on prime-time TV - and the Buzzcocks have released a new album.
In which decade am I living? Famed for asking the best question in pop history - Ever Fallen In Love With Someone (You Shouldn't Have Fallen In Love With)? - The Buzzcocks chipped in with some of the most seminal moments of the punk era. The new line-up still includes Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle, but the fires have long burned out. Sick City Sometimes and a reprise of the old Lester Sands, co-written with Howard Devoto, are the only songs to hint at the energy now long lost, but they're not enough to mark this album out as anything but one for the diehards.
