POLICE are searching for two women to help them with a murder investigation.
William John Smith, 62, suffered head injuries in an incident outside Yates's Wine Lodge, in Low Ousegate, York, on April 18.
Mr Smith died in Leeds General Infirmary without gaining consciousness.
Doorman Paul Maurice Garner, 59, of Chaloners Road, Woodthorpe, has been charged with his murder.
Detectives are now looking for two women who may be able to give them information about the incident.
The women, who were both wearing trousers and high heels, were talking to people in the queue outside Yates's Wine Lodge at about 11pm on April 18.
They were both about 5ft 8in, and one of the women had long blonde wavy hair.
