Selby Warriors may soon consider getting an under-14 side up and running.
The Warriors only started their junior section this year but it is continuing to develop well.
Junior coach Dave Sowden said: "Karl Simpson has done a great job in getting some under-14 players down to training.
"Any youngster around this age who wants to try rugby league will be welcome and if there is enough interest the club would look at getting an under-14 team up and running."
Meanwhile, the Warriors' under-10s face Doncaster Toll Bar next Wednesday (KO 6.15pm) as they gear up for their first trip to the annual Whitley Bay tournament on May 10.
A 53-seater coach has already been filled and an additional minibus has been booked to accommodate everyone wanting to attend.
The junior section are also hoping to get their under-8s' side four games from June so any child born between May 31, 1997 and September 1, 1994 will be eligible. Interested parents can call coach David Sowden on 01977 663187.
Training for all age groups will carry on each Wednesday from 6pm but will stop for a month's break in July and start again in August.
Anyone who would like to help out at coaching can call Sowden on the above number. The club would also look at putting people through coaching courses.
Selby Warriors are holding their annual meeting at Selby Rugby Union Club, Sandhill Lane, on Sunday, May 11 (12.30pm start). All players and officials are urged to attend so any problems can be ironed out before the start of the 2003-04 season.
