WOMEN in Tadcaster have raised money to keep the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) flying.
The Tadcaster Countrywomen's Association has donated £400 to the YAA.
They raised the money with a series of events, including coffee mornings, market stalls and bring-and-buy sales. Chairwoman Ivy Gott said: "Members voted unanimously to support the YAA. There's always a possibility that you will need it at some point in your life." YAA fundraiser Fiona Goulding said: "It's due to efforts of organisations like the Tadcaster Countrywomen's Association that we are able to maintain this valuable life-saving service."
