In early April, a group of former Queen Anne pupils met for lunch at Bedern Hall, many of them for the first time in 51 years.
They were "girls" who were at the school from 1947 to 1952 and were known as the "L" form.
The idea of a reunion was first mooted two years ago by a former classmate, now living in Canada, but no action was taken until a chance meeting in Marks & Spencer led to five of us meeting up.
The result was that out of a class of 33, (sadly, two have died), we were able to trace 27, 24 of whom attended the lunch.
It was a wonderful day, old friendships were renewed and memories exchanged.
Now we plan to meet on the first Friday of every month at King's Manor from 11am onwards, the first meeting takes place tomorrow.
