Research evidence has shown a benefit from exercise by reducing cancer risks.
On Sunday local people can take part in the Macmillan Cancer Relief ride, supported by the Cyclists Touring Club, starting from the Knavesmire at 10.30am.
Entry is free but every penny raised in sponsorship will help towards dealing with cancer in the York area.
So, jump on your bike and head away, for an exciting family day, by riding along on a cycleway.
