HARROGATE Rugby Union face the toughest test in their defence of the Yorkshire Cup when they entertain old sparring partners Morley tonight in the quarter-finals.
Having brushed aside Yorkshire One opposition in Selby and Huddersfield YMCA in the early rounds, Ralph Zoing's men will have to step up a gear for the visit of North One-based Morley.
The match will be a repeat of last season's quarter-final when Harrogate eased through with a five-try 36-5 win.
Meanwhile, the Yorkshire selectors will be watching this game anxious that none of their squad for the County Championship opener with Warwickshire at Claro Road on Saturday are injured.
A Harrogate sextet of full-back Ed Smithies, centre Matt Duncombe, fly-half Lee Cholewa, scrum-half Rhys Morgan, and back-rowers Mike Worden and Ollie Cook have all been named in the squad.
In the Yorkshire Under-20s squad, the area boosts six star performers for their semi-final against Cornwall at Redruth on Sunday,
Richard Davies (Harrogate), Richard Pike (ex St Peter's), Matthew Stockdale (ex Joseph Rowntree) and Pocklington duo Richard Booth and Matthew Webber will all star while former Harrogate colt Nick Beaumont is on the bench.
