York-based rower Sarah Whitwell enjoyed two victories in her first full regatta.
Racing at Leicester, Whitwell and her Newark Rowing Club team won both the women's novice coxed fours, beating Nottingham Schools by two lengths in the final.
Then the women's novice eights toppled Leeds University in the final, also by two lengths.
However, the former York City Rowing Club member will miss this weekend's regatta in her home city to concentrate on a Junior National event in Nottingham on the May Bank Holiday Monday when she will row in the coxless quads and J16 doubles.
She is also destined to compete in the Junior National Championships in Nottingham later this year.
