A THIEF who struck in a public library in East Yorkshire is being sought by police.
Three women had left bags unattended in a lecture room in Bridlington Library in King's Street on Monday afternoon.
Someone is believed to have entered the room and taken the bags while the women were out of the room for about 15 minutes between 3.10pm and 3.25pm.
One was a red handbag and its contents included cash, keys and personal papers, another was a large brown rucksack containing clothing.
The third item was a large black bag containing personal items and a watch.
Police urged anyone with information to phone Bridlington Police Station on 01262 402700.
