Apparently many people are preparing to vote Lib Dem in the council elections tomorrow as their way of protesting about the Iraq war, council tax and many other policies felt to be inherently Labour.
Let's not forget that the Lib Dems voted with Labour on many occasions, even when this flew in the face of their own manifestos.
The most outstanding of these being for building on greenbelt land and also for the development of the Eye of York-commonly called Shoppergate.
If you want shops, build them where they are needed. There are several "food deserts" where shops have closed because of vandalism and shoplifting.
Chapelfields is one area that really needs a shopping development. Yet sitting councillors have voted to rip out the historic heart of the city which is what really attracts much-needed tourists.
Please vote, but think before you do.
