ONLY very occasionally can a vote make a difference. City Of York Council is finely balanced between Labour and the Liberal Democrats (25 to 24).
York residents' votes tomorrow could help to bring about the first change in control at Guildhall for 20 years.
People in York have given us one clear message. They want fresh leadership and fresh thinking.
People are fed up with the in-fighting, the expensive "spin" publicity, the lack of value for increased council tax payments and the decline in basic service standards.
Electors who are as concerned as we are about the threat to York's greenbelt, the rise in street crime and the lack of respect shown recently by the Labour leadership for York and its residents, should vote Liberal Democrat and vote for change in Guildhall tomorrow.
Liberal Democrat Group Leader,
Stirrup Close, Foxwood Lane, York.
