The Red Shirt Brigade, who were out in force to welcome a winner at Ripon on Saturday, will be hoping to do the same at Bath tomorrow.
The owners' group, run by Pete Murphy, enjoyed a memorable success at Ripon with Red Galaxy, who followed up her debut win at Musselburgh to book her place in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
Tomorrow, the 'red shirts' will be represented by Red Millennium - likewise trained by Alan Berry - in the feature race of the day, the £22,500 European Breeders Fund Lansdown Fillies' Stakes.
Winner of the corresponding event a year ago, Red Millennium has every chance following a rock-solid first run at Newbury, where she finished fourth to Kylacchy in a hot handicap.
Francis Norton, rider of Red Galaxy, also takes the mount on Red Millennium, who I expect will be hard to catch in this five furlongs dash.
Newmarket trainer Luca Cumani, who will saddle his stable-star Gossamer in Sunday's Sagitta 1,000 Guineas, has bright prospects at Bath.
He saddles Holy Island in the weatherbys-group.com Fillies' Handicap and this solid five-year-old, who had a decent campaign last year, has a good chance of starting her season with victory.
Although she has yet to win over tomorrow's distance of almost a mile and a half, Holy Island has given the impression that it is precisely what she wants. She is my Nap selection to provide Jamie Spencer with a triumphant ride.
Cumani and Spencer can also click with Houston Park in the Levy Board Handicap.
After a profitable juvenile campaign, Houston Park gave notice of further successes when on his recent reappearance at Windsor, he finished a close-up third to Muscial Heath over a mile. Tomorrow's longer trip should suit him even better.
Martin Pipe, who clinched yet another champion trainers' title when the jumping season ended on Saturday, can prove his versatility by having a winner on the Flat with Duello in the P & C Morris Selling Stakes. This 11-year-old gelding is still capable of holding his own at this level.
As one National Hunt season ends, another one begins and tomorrow the jumping action is at Hexham, where Bob's Buster looks best in the Alphameric - First In Retail Handicap Hurdle.
The six-year-old romped to an easy success at Hexham last week and a 7lb penalty might not be enough to stop him tomorrow.
