Acomb all-rounder Richard Sykes failed narrowly to complete a clean sweep of the first division awards in the Hunters York Senior Indoor Cricket League presentations.
Sykes won both the batting (32 points from an average of 62) and the all-rounder (33 points from 434 runs, ten wickets, four catches and one stumping) awards only to miss out of the bowling award to Rowntrees 'A's Dominic Atkinson.
Sykes' run tally of 434 was also a league record as the Acomb star overturned Mick MaKay's 1988-89 tally of 410 from the Thorp Arch batter.
Added to his two individual awards, Sykes also collected his medal for being part of the all-conquering Acomb 'A' team which won the league and the York Brewery Trophy.
