REGARDING Heslington Lane residents in traffic protest, I should like to politely ask them which road do they want this traffic to go down - Broadway?
We have enough traffic of our own, thank you, including heavy goods vehicles delivering to shops, cars going to and from the university, and other places, plus shoppers in their cars albeit some from Heslington Lane parking on Broadway and making it difficult and dangerous to cross.
Perhaps if they just wait a while the traffic powers-that-be will make going down from the junction of Heslington Lane, Broadway to the university so difficult and frustrating no one will want to use either road.
Mrs M Robinson,
Broadway,
York.
