I AM sure we are not the only family left short-changed this month with the new tax codes implemented but the tax credits delayed.
This month we find ourselves £100 down in wages. Yet, despite applying for the tax credits in October, we are still waiting to receive our award notice.
It is interesting to see that money owed for taxes is always taken on time and anyone failing to send in tax returns will receive a hefty fine, yet it seems that when the boot is on the other foot it does not appear to matter.
Some people may be able to stand a reduction of £100 a month. We certainly can't.
We cannot get through on the phone. I am sure it is a standard BT answering message played!
The Government should play fair here and allow last year's tax codes to stand until this fiasco is sorted out.
It is the most vulnerable that will suffer as a result of this.
