EAST Yorkshire horse riders are celebrating after being given a grant of £500 to buy new equipment.
Ebor Vale Riding for the Disabled, near Market Weighton, received the money from the Ronald McDonald Children's Charities (RMCC)
The centre offers those with special needs the chance to learn how to ride and was able to buy new equipment with the funding.
Jill Startin, chairwoman of the group, said: "Thanks to the RMCC grant we
have been able to further extend our equipment so that our visitors, especially children with special needs, can enrich their life experiences by
learning how to ride.
"Not only does horse riding teach the children basic co-ordination skills
but it also allows them to enjoy a sense of freedom."
RMCC spokeswoman Narinder Singh said: "RMCC is dedicated to providing grants to help children with special needs enjoy a full and fun life.
"Ebor Vale Riding for the Disabled does fantastic work with its visitors and we
are delighted to support them."
