York III's opening game against Selby II in division six is in jeopardy.
Building improvements stipulated by the league at York's 2nd XI pitch at Clifton Park have not been completed.
The fixture will only go ahead if York are able to borrow a ground, otherwise the fixture will be conceded.
York's admission was only approved at the annual meeting in October 2001 on the understanding that the club provided proper scoring facilities and an umpires' changing room at the 2nd XI site.
The project is far from completed and the league felt they had no alternative to suspend the ground until facilities are brought up to standard.
