A RECIPE book containing all kinds of northern European nosh that gives a boost to charity has been launched in York.
York Anglo-Scandinavian Society (YASS) recently held its annual general meeting when Yass Recipes was launched, a book detailing the favourite dishes of the society's members.
The illustrated book contains recipes for foods like elderberry soup, mother Monsen's cakes and Frank's blackcurrant brandy.
It is to be sold in aid of a travel fund set up by the British Confederation of Scandinavian Societies, which gives grants to young people planning a trip to a Scandinavian country.
To order a copy of the book, or find out more about YASS, phone the co-editor Brita Green on 01904 794438, or email psgbeg@aol.com.
