A CHALLENGE from neighbours in East Yorkshire drew 26 members of the newly-launched North Yorkshire Scout Network to a karting event.
They accepted the challenge laid down by Humberside Scout Network and took part in a 2.5-hour endurance race at Pro Am Karting in Selby.
The event was a great success, giving members from all over the county the chance to meet for the first time. It was a very enjoyable night.
The night finished with a team from the Selby Local Network gaining victory over Easingwold Network by one lap.
The Scout Network is one of two new Scout sections that were introduced recently as part of the movement's modernisation, and caters for the 18 to 25 age range. The Network has a number of events planned.
