TALENTED York children raised nearly £300 for a worldwide campaign to eradicate polio.
A large audience paid to watch a talent show last month, organised by Fulford School Interact Club.
It was co-ordinated by club secretary, Sarah Jordan. President Kate Roberts took charge of the catering and vice-president Allison Mellor was MC. Other members also helped.
The audience enjoyed all 16 acts, and the event raised £296 for the PolioPlus vaccination campaign, organised by Rotary International. Interact is a club for 14-18 year olds, dedicated to helping others and sponsored by Rotary.
Winners of the talent show included: Ben Bentley, Sam Anderson and Mathew Hodgeson's comedy act; Scarlet Tears' rock band; Moulin Rouge, dancers and Rejoana Kabir, singer.
