AN UPLIFTING story of a North Yorkshire farmer's wife who supports the family farm by selling underwear is to be the latest true-life tale transferred to the silver screen.
Sally Robinson, founder of Amplebosom.com, is to be turned into a film heroine by British company Harbour Films.
The company is to release Calendar Girls, the story of a Dales Women's Institute's famous naked calendar, this September.
Now the story of the ailing farm which diversified into selling underwear by mail and the internet is to receive the director's attention.
Sally, from Old Byland, Helmsley, said: "They heard me when I was on the radio and said they wanted to do a film. I was of course surprised, but I just thought they would never do it."
