IT'S a bit rich of Nestl Rowntree Athletics Club member Louise Bonnie to accuse York City FC of being selfish in wanting to get rid of the running track.
Let's be clear, there is no way the Huntington Stadium could host professional football with the track in place because the atmosphere would be appalling and the space will be needed to reach the necessary crowd capacity.
The people who are being selfish are the handful of amateur runners who appear to be trying to scupper City's future.
York City are North Yorkshire's only football league team and many people's full time jobs depend on it.
