Mark Archer shot a fine 18-darter as Green Tree 'A' beat Sun 'B' 5-4 in a tight match, Kev Pallister-Neil Richardson taking the decider.
Keith Dodd chose to finish on bull and helped Slip 'B' to a 6-3 result over Groves. Cygnet 'B's last pair, Derek and Ian Hartley, salvaged the aggregate point against Slip 'A', who took the match 6-3.
Mitre's 7-2 win over Clifton 'A', which included fine displays by Sam Pearson and Neil Long, sees them as early leaders in York Phoenix Open League division one.
Bay Horse 'A' had 21 darts from Allan Galley and beat Slipper within the singles.
A 96 check by Alex Render, a 97 finish from Jim Kelly and a 180 score by Tony Raymond primed Alan Johnson-Ian Gibson to seal Woodman's encounter with Pack.

Leeman's last gasp winners were Roger Pirrie-Les Scaife, but Wool-pack protected Brian Atkinson's earlier aggregate and advantage.

Escrick Social Club are holding a Doubles Board Open Compe-tition on Easter Monday. Prizes include £100 for the winner and £50 to the runner-up. Entry is from 1.30pm at £2.50. Matches start 2pm.
