COLIN Henson misses the point about the telephone box in St Saviourgate (April 10), because the facility is obviously well used and thereby, not unreasonably, BT makes a profit.
Obviously a large number of users will be inconvenienced if the telephone were removed as Insp Harding recommends. It is a typical reaction from an organisation that seems to have completely lost its way.
A token presence would discourage a minority increasingly jeopardising our normal way of life.
Their constant misuse of other public facilities (parks, toilets etc) is now a daily occurrence. Perhaps the police would like all those closed too.
