BOASTING the dreariest cover ever seen, this isn't so much the kind of CD you would flick past in the store but rather one you would never even notice in the first place.
And that's a shame, because this has potential. Sally Crewe is a lass with roots in Leeds who drives a 1966 Aston Martin DB6 that used to belong to Paul McCartney, and who sounds like she's playing a support slot in the halcyon days of New York's CBGB club, where Blondie, The Ramones and Talking Heads found their feet.
This is forceful, driving music with smart lyrics. What it lacks is inspirational melody. Not one song stands out, and that's why Sally Crewe is likely to stay unnoticed.
