ENTHUSIASTIC artists are to be in the spotlight this bank holiday weekend.
Sheriff Hutton Art Group is to hold its annual exhibition at the village hall on Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.
More than 100 paintings are expected to be on show, from about 20 contributing artists from the village and the surrounding area.
Art group committee member Don Pomfret said: "The exhibition has become quite an institution over the years. It is very popular with people from the village, with some travelling from miles around to see the year's display."
The event will also see paintings on sale, with a high success rate of about 50 per cent sales in previous years.
Don said: "Some people come specifically looking for an individual artist. I myself have had paintings sold at the exhibition which are now in places as diverse as Bangkok and Denver."
The exhibition usually attracts several hundred people over the weekend and is looking to continue its success.
Photography, pottery and cream teas should add to the popularity.
The exhibition will be open from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Easter Sunday and Monday at Sheriff Hutton Village Hall.
