FORMER Scarborough defender Mick McNaughton could be asked to carry on striking tonight as Harrogate Town bid to keep hold off the West Riding County FA Cup when they play Farsley Celtic in the final at Woodlesford, Leeds, tonight.
McNaughton has scored two in two since being pushed forward to support skipper and leading striker Robbie Whellans up front.
And with Marc Smith and former Farsley forward Scott Jackson set to miss out, McNaugton could be asked to continue his front-man role.
Town, who knocked out favourites Halifax in the quarter-finals, will also be without former Newcastle defender Stuart Elliott, ex-Nottingham Forest centre-half Lee Cowling (ineligible), and James McDaid (cup-tied).
The match will be a repeat of last season's final which Town won 4-0 with goals from Whellans (2), Ian Blackstone, who is likely to star for Farsley tonight, and Colin Hunter.
