Dringhouses followed up a 2-0 midweek win at Osbaldwick with a 3-0 victory at Kartiers.

They now only need two points from their remaining six games to be mathematically sure of retaining their Leeper Hare York and District League Reserve 'A' title.

Two goals from Steve Cross and one from Shane Wilford gave them the points at Kartiers.

St John's College are the only team with a mathematical chance of stopping Dringhouses but they surrendered any real chance after going down 4-1 at Dunnington where John Wormald, Jamie Calvert and Nick Robinson (2) were on target for the home side. Leon Wormley responded for the Students.

Huntington made home advantage count against a weakened Pocklington side and ran out 6-0 winners to give themselves an outside chance of avoiding the drop. Mark Ellis, Chris Dower, Ian Whittaker, Steve Rambridge (2) and Ian Proctor were on target.

Malton Bacon Factory let two points slip at home to lowly New Earswick. After Jamie Ward had given them a 20th minute lead, Jamie Elcock hit the equaliser with 20 minutes remaining.

Strugglers Bishopthorpe and Wigginton Grasshoppers drew 3-3 in a game neither side could afford to lose. Ben Clark (2) and Paul Broadbent converted a penalty for Bishopthorpe. Rob Murphy (2) and Ben Coates replied for Wigginton.

Osbaldwick and Old Malton shared the spoils in another 3-3 draw with Richard Hudson bagging a hat-trick for the Malton side.

Wigginton Black Horse romped to a 5-0 win at Rufforth to keep ahead of the pack in Reserve 'B'. Simon Ewing, James Wood, (2) Frankie Adams and Dean Butler were the scorers.

Second-placed Copmanthorpe profited by six points in a double header against Riccall, both games ending 3-0. In the first match Andy Manns, Paul Scurry and Matt Pearson netted for Copmanthorpe and in the second, Alistair Hammerton, Simon Evans and Manns were on target.

Poppleton did well to earn a point against Civil Service after John Draper had Service into a first half lead. Dan Adams equalised from the penalty spot.

Haxby's first team goalkeeper Steve Nicholson tried his hand up front for the reserves and netted twice to add to a Mike Taylor goal as they beat Stamford Bridge 3-0.

When Danny Pritchett netted the first goal of the match for Haxby & Wigginton at Heslington in the 70th-minute they looked on course for victory but the home side responded with goals from Simon Gatenby and Simon Musgrave (2).

Easingwold and Barmby Moor drew 2-2. Lee Brimicombe and Clayton King hit goals for the home side and Mark Blenkin and Tom Rastall (penalty) replied for Barmby Moor.

Heworth could only muster four players for their Reserve 'C' game at Thorpe United, so the match was postponed.

Norton gave themselves hope of avoiding re-election with a 4-1 win at home to White Horse. Will Spowitt (2) and Chris Hodgson were among the Norton scroers. Lee Jones hit Horse's consolation.

Two goals within minutes of the start of the second half ensured that LNER Builders and Fulford shared the spoils. Robin Clysan scored for Fulford at a corner on 46 minutes but Steve Crosby immediately equalised.
