MEMBERS of a York health club snapped up the chance to raise over £1,000 for a local children's charity.
Living Well Premier, at Nether Poppleton, held a special charity auction for its members and their friends. More than 100 attended the event, which raised £1,117 for SNAPPY, the York charity for children with special needs.
A year's membership of the health club and golf club membership were among the lots on offer. Bidders could also enlist the services of the team who look after the club's laundry, to clean their home for a day.
The auction was hosted by BBC Look North presenter Clare Frisby.
Deputy general ganager Richard Marshall is seen presenting the cash to a delighted Snappy the crocodile.
