CHILDREN at a York school had Easter fun by taking part in a decorate-the-egg competition.
Youngsters at Haxby Road Primary School came up with weird and wonderful creations in their attempt to win an Easter egg.
Eggs were transformed into sheep, ducks and chickens as well as characters from fairy tales.
Some parents also had a go, with one creating a replica of teacher Stella Hall, who has recently been made an MBE, receiving her award.
The acting deputy head, Julie Wilkinson, said: "It is a real celebration of their artistic abilities and lots of fun."
Awards were given to two children from each class as well as an overall winner.
