FROM longboats to ferries, from biplanes to bicycles, from steam engines to Sinclair C5s, York has enjoyed every form of transport down the centuries.
Today saw another first: bendy-buses.
They will take a little getting used to. Will passengers at the front have a different destination time to those at the back? Have the drivers been on special training courses to learn how to bend it like Beckham? And on roundabouts, will the driver be able to wave to those in the rear seats?
Who knows. But from whatever angle you look at it, these vehicles are a turn for the better.
