I BET Kate Youngjohns isn't a parent (Residents oppose £2 million plan for school, April 18). The tone of her comments which put dogs before children says a lot.
How ridiculous!
Of course St Barnabas must have a new school with modern facilities, including playing fields. My grandchildren attend this school and it is only within the last few years that the boys have had an indoor lavatory.
I bet Kate Youngjohns didn't have to make do and hope for better like the children in Leeman Road and their parents have done for years.
I urge City of York Council to let sense prevail and for once in this country put children before animals.
Mrs M Dale,
Highthorn Road, York.
