JUDGES who surveyed the luscious floral displays of Tadcaster in Bloom businesses were delighted with what they found.
Christine Ransome and Jean Tomlinson faced a tough decision as they attempted to pick the winner of the Best Spring Window competition, organised by the town's Chamber of Trade.
Victorious was The Clothes Line, in High Street, which also triumphed last summer in the competition to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The shop, which has been open for 18 months, is run by Angela Mullanby and her daughter, Cath Evans.
Angela said they were delighted to have won the competition and would be proudly showing off their trophy.
Their winning displays consisted of a garden with a clothes line in one window and a mosaic of daffodils spelling "Tadcaster in Bloom" in the other.
The runners-up were Evergreens florist, also in High Street, and the Bridge Street Barbers, who based their display on the children's TV characters Bill and Ben.
