AFTER a winter season's hibernation, Kevin Walton returned to the York John Smith's Men's League division one scene and shot an outstanding 15 darts.
Mick Willsden included 180 for 17 and Rich Saville gamed in 20 as Shepherd beat Dringhouses 6-3 whose Barry Noble finished in 20 darts.
Chris Thompson continued his fantastic form and followed previous 13 and 15 dart games with 180 for 14 darts which was well backed by Tony Gregory as Sun 'A' beat Green Tree 'B' 6-3.
Darren Hawcroft, out in 17 darts, and fine games from Ray McInally and Lee Brundrett (180) helped Poacher to a 6-3 win against Blacksmith's, who had Andy Turpin providing the greatest resistance.
Mark Hartley (18), Paul Mizon (21), Jack White (21) and Dave Gibbons starred as Cygnet 'A' overran Saddle 8-1. Phil Knatt-John Page gave the only reply.
Rose and Crown took the middle order to beat Bay Horse 5-4. However, Rich Plummer (100, 100, 100, 140) partnered Ron Simpson to collect the last 701 game in 24 darts and save the aggregate.
Holgate won 5-4 at Cue Ball, Pete West-Mick Brookes winning the decider, while in division two, Dave MacDonald threw two 180 scores and Mark Archer played well.
But Green Tree 'A' went down 6-3 to Osbaldwick, who included good games from Craig Wedge and Steve Machen.
Positive wins from Mark Gamble (18) and Phil Smith (21) did enough to secure Slip 'B' the extra point at Old Ebor, who had Gary Witty-Geoff Walker taking the match points.
Flag and Whistle went into a 4-0 lead, which included good performances by Dave Dobson (18) and Gordon Foster. However, Derek Hartley (18) started a Cygnet 'B' revival, and partnering Keith Graham, secured the decider.
Paul Crossman and Ged McMahon showed up best for Swan, who beat Slip 'A' 5-4.
The Railway Institute derby saw the 'A' team's Pete Watson in form. After a fine individual win he then hit a pairs 180, thus allowing Chris Ruddock the chance to take the final double and beat the 'B' side 5-4.
Groves beat Sun 'B' 5-4, Tony Bird-Pete Ross taking the winner.
Lord Collingwood (Upper Poppleton) ended their campaign 42 points behind the Marston Moor Villages Doubles-Board League champions Tankard 'A' but undoubtedly had the 'player of the season' in their side.
Steve Wragg outstandingly won two of the four associated competitions and was second in the others.
His 20 hundreds beat Alice's Chris Hall in the 'Tons Scored' competition by four, and 18, 20 and 23 darts aggregate similarly beat Royal Oak's Gary Stead by four in the 'Three Fastest Finishes' competition.
The 'Most Wins' competition was won by Tankard's John Colllins, who registered only one defeat in 22 matches. Wragg recorded 19 successes, one ahead of Alice 'A' team's Simon Jackson and Oak's Stead.
Wragg lost the 'Three Highest Check-outs' competition by just one third of a point.
Royal Oak's Andy Hill had finishes on 100, 100 and 81, while the Collingwood ace chipped out 100, 100 and 80.
