SCIENCE was brought to life for pupils at a York primary school as part of a fun day.
More than 200 youngsters from Dunnington Primary School worked together on different experiments during the event. Experiments included building trees to withstand high wind speeds, solving crimes by using chromatography, attempting to make square bubbles and creating an insulated ice cream container. Parents visited the school for a special assembly to see how the experiments had progressed. Head teacher Roger Highton said the children really enjoyed the event as there had been a number of different activities to get involved in. He said: "It also gave them the opportunity for brothers and sisters to work together - everyone was involved no matter what age."
