THE city car parking inspectors seem to be active 24 hours a day seven days a week, so I urge the Evening Press to feature an update of where and at what time you can park in the streets.
I would ask the Press to list the available car parks and the times that street parking is free and where a scooter or moped can be parked.
This may save Thursday late night shoppers some nasty shocks.
Let's be aware that parking inspectors will nick you for anything they can. Recent ones that come to mind are a ticket for not being inside the white lines in the council office car park at St Leonard's, and a scooter parked outside the library in the bays which are now only for push bikes.
The best thing is keep out of York with your car and your scooter unless you have a disabled ticket, and then, of course, you can park anywhere - even on double yellow lines.
